The date 17/11/2005this is past political history, let me give my opinion of the present political situation in Queensland, and in general,Peter Beatty is doing a good job, with wards, pimpels and all.Now federal, the coalition is on the nose dive, brawls in the national party,in the liberal, lies coverups,Peter Costello wants John howard to go?not saying it outright,Malcolm Turnbull is at the point of a saying, and you to BRUTUS?,and now John Howard is desperate, begging for unity in the coalition. My opinion straight from the hip,and not going to shoot myself in the foot, coalition out,ALP in,this party can go it alone,it needs no sidekick,as it can stand on its own, this is what australians want and we want it NOW.

Peter Beattie is running out of steam, notice how he has suddenly learned that the people are sick of his grinning face mouthing "sorry" and he has disappeared from our tv screens in this last week?
The people in this state are heartily sick of spin, excuses, dishonesty and attempts to shift the blame. Whenever will our politicians realize that people want honesty and transparency? When will they realize that it is ok to say "maybe that is not working as it should, we made a mistake"? The people wants positive outcomes, not more talks, more inquiries and no action.
There should be no 'in confidence' decisions by State Governments because if it needs to be kept quiet then it is probably not totally honest and in the best interests of the community.
