Thanks for letting me contribute and also for sending the results.

But I'm wondering why you think that - given your data - flouridation is a dangerous issue to run on. When you say that Nats are equivocal re daylight savings with 41% in favour and 34% against - surely 45% in favour and 43% against flouridation is much more equivocal.

And if Liberal voters favour it, surely he's as likely to gain votes as lose them (though without any indication of how strongly people feel about it and how likely they are to change their vote, it's hard to tell).

Basically, I don't think that many people are likely to change their vote over this issue.

Rainwater tanks are a good idea, however they won't make much of a difference unless they are very large.
A tank of 1000 litres would last the average household about two days given typical usage rates.
Of course in order to fill the tanks, it first has to rain. I know, maybe people could fill their water tanks using hand-held hoses between the hours of 7AM and 7PM...

If you want increasing ignorance and soft options, alienate trained professionals and independant advisers. Just think what independant advice might have done to get some of the 5 billion dolars largely wasted on bottled water in the US . If on the other hand you want conservation to be more than a sop, add to the discussion on http://cuttingedgeconservation.blogpsot.com
- reduce the wests distraction into bottled water . The NDMC is on record about the proper place 9 (Not the ultimate place) of rainwater for drinking> how many birds land on your guttering each day !

You may get what you want but will it make sense long term ?
If you want increasing ignorance and soft options, alienate trained professionals and independant advisers as our leaders do daily . Just think what independant advice might have done to get some of the 5 billion dollars largely wasted on bottled water in the US . If on the other hand you want conservation to be more than a sop, add to the discussion on http://cuttingedgeconservation.blogpsot.com
- reduce the West's distraction into bottled water and other options . The NH&MC is on record about the proper place (Not the ultimate place) of rainwater for drinking> How many birds land on your guttering each day !
