Hey!
I'm actually a big fan of Quiet Space. I'm not paying taxes for it (I live in Europe) so I'm not sure if that gives me a voice in this.. Nevertheless I would find it rather disappointing if this program would cease to exist.
I'd like to know whether the graphs on this site are live.. they seem to be static images and I'd like to follow the poll's results.

on a sample size of 45 i think we can assume that there is not enough interest either way.

Well, we have some interesting results. I've checked the latest on the poll and it has got to 54 responses, and now it favours retaining both programs. I'll do a second post on it as I've produced a graph based on time showing cumulative totals. Someone thought it was worth stacking the result is what the graph appears to say, but have a look when I put it up and see what you think.

Why don't you show the Disagree column when it comes to the Quiet Space. Is this poll rigged? I for one am a 69 year old grandmother who loves the show although I am a sound sleeper and prefer to stream it at a civilised hour.

Because Mitzi, there wasn't any. Of course the poll isn't rigged. I have a reputation, and I earned that reputation by being scrupulously honest. You might be interested in the follow-up column to this one where I analyse responses in terms of time and referring URLs. There was an attempt to rig it, but not by me.

I listen to both programs and would see the loss of either as making my musical landscape a little poorer. In the case of "The Quiet Space" what would they replace it with for its particular time slot. I get up 20 minutes earlier than I have to so I can listen to it on a Monday morning. Why would anybody who doesn't like it even care that its on. And please, for the love of...(insert deity of choice here), what is wrong with "Sound Quality. Tim Richie is a passionate and knowledgeable guy who has taken me in more musical directions than almost any other presenter...

I've only listened to it very occasionally, but was really really happy to find that there are people doing such interesting and quirky things. We need more of that in this over-efficient and boringly materialistic society. Go ABC! and keep up the attempt to cater for the outlier people.
