This shows how quickly a dill, particularly one who wants to dictate policy, can shoot themselves in the foot.

Obviously, Turnbull joined the wrong party. Labor is more inclined to accept a dictator.

Malcolm has self confidence to an extraordinary degree. What he really lacks is a capacity to "lead" others

I do not believe that Malcolm Turnbull is very secure in himself at all. He seems to me to be a man who was unloved and insecure throughout his childhood and never knew the comfort of his mummy's arms. His ramrod back, clenched teeth are evidences to me of someone who is ruthlessly determined to overcome all intellectual challenges but his age is now telling on him. Today, his legal background should ensure he pays attention to detail and crosses every "I's" and dot his "Ts" which is so necessary to ensuring his arguments are safe. He resorts to intrigue (Godwin Grech) is a case in point and then lies to achieve outcomes. He does things in his own strength instead of relying on God to help him but then he made the foolish decision to "become a Roman Catholic" and adherence to this false religion only weakens him further for he is not relying on Jesus and biblical precepts to direct his paths.

Malcolm has insisted on staying with the big whitewash on climate change, right alongside Labor. He has not given his colleagues who are diamentrically opposed to labor, an choice. Tony Abott's election by the party says that small time politics in this country is not going to change. Dare I suggest that had Malcolm instead tried talking about the greater potential of better efficiency and containment in industry, to relate how the liberal Party supports a direct strategy to contain the effects on our atmosphere and in our workplaces, he might have receieved more support.

Malcolm has brains- but could not lead, because he could not persuade and he could not persuade because he would not listen.

Abbott is worse- he once had brains ( Rhodes scholar)but it seems he leaves them at home when he goes to Canberra.

Yeah but it was the LABOR voters who supported Turnbulls crazy decisions on the ETS. They loved him for being Rudd lite but would NEVER vote for him!

Abbott is bringing the fight right upto Rudd! Re-energizing the party.

I was unable to vote for Sir W McMahon and ditto for Malcolm Turnbull , for me they were both unelectable .
I have a son who is a Hi End Aspergers Syndrome person , he when tested has a tendency to burst forth at the lip , slam on the brakes revert back the beginning , then persue another line much more calmly .........Mr Turnbull does exactly the same thing ?

Malcolm Turnbull deserved to lose the leadership. He wouldn't listen to his party collegues who were only relaying the concerns from the community. We don't know enough about the ETS.
Malcolm Turnbull is brillant but he has to learn to listen and remember he is supposed to represent the views of the people who voted for the coalition, not Kevin Rudd. Rudd has made a big enough mess on his own.

I loved the comment from Ronald Kitching who believes that Turnbull made two mistakes:

relying on his own strength instead of the help of God and
becoming a Roman Catholic which Ronald believes is a false religion.
I wonder what religion he would have recommended to Turnbull instead. There is quite a choice.

I want to inform you Ronald, that Turnbull made only one mistake and as for the religion Ronald; they are all false.
