ALP vote stabilises and recovers a little ground

The Index is calculated using September 2009 as the zero base and shows movements in the voting intentions of our respondents rather than the absolute figures. The reason for this is that our sample is not randomised and over-represents certain groups. However, over the last three years we have found these movements to closely mirror what is actually happening in the randomised polls run by Newspoll, Roy Morgan and AC Nielsen.

If an election were to have been held in the last week of September Labor would have lost.
